5 Essential Hair Care Tips or Healthy , Beautiful Hair

If you’re someone like me, you know that having beautiful hair, boost your confidence and it’s a part of being a luxury or every day woman. Everyone wants beautiful hair, but it’s not always easy to accomplish when you don’t know what to do. Below I’m going to give you five tips that will help you understand how to care for your hair without all of the fluff and confusion.

  1. Choosing the Right Products- with so many products on the market, they can be confusing as to which product you should get first and foremost you want to make sure that your products are sulfate  free. Sulfate free products do not contain sulfates; which are ingredients that can be harsh and drying to the hair due to the stripping away of the hair and scalps natural oils. Sulfate also will leave the hair extremely dry and brittle so I recommend that you use a sulfate free shampoo to keep the hair moisturize and hydrated. Also sulfates are only found in shampoos not conditioners, but a lot of products have been marketed to be “sulfate free conditioner”, but there’s no such thing.
  2. Detox Your Scalp Regularly-The scalp is one of the crucial foundational parts to healthy hair just think of it as the soil to your garden without the soil being full of nutrients and replenish your plants cannot thrive. With that being said, your scalp must be detox at least once a month in order to remove buildup that can block the scalp from breathing, and nutrients flowing through  the strands of your hair. A scout detox also has been known to stimulate blood flow and promoting hair growth. We definitely recommend our scalp therapy kit to get you on a journey of a healthy scalp.
  3. Stop Applying Tension -High tension styles are killing your follicles. With that being said, there’s been an increase in young women as young as the age of 15 having permanent hair loss also known as SCARRING alopecia. This means that the follicles have been so damaged due to the tightness of braids wigs and other styles that the follicles scarred over and can no longer produce hair. So if you are about having healthy beautiful hair, you have  to keep an eye on to the tension, as  well as how often your hair is being pulled in the same direction over and over again.
  4. Reduce The Heat!-whenever you are applying heat to the hair, you have to remember lower temperatures are always going to be safer than extreme high temperatures on the strands of hair. For example, when you’re getting ready to blow dry your hair it’s always best to blow dry on medium to low heat after you’ve applied a thermal protector, such as our thermal hair mist which will reduce the temperature of the hair while giving it a silk feeling. When you are flat ironing, make sure that your flat irons are between temperatures 300 to 350° if your hair is fine textured hair between 350 to 375°.  If your hair is  medium textured use temperatures between 375 and 425° if you have course textured hair. Always remember to apply heat with one pass after you applied our Preserve Silk Serum. This serum acts as a barrier just like sunscreen. It gives the hair a nice shine and it’s lightweight and won’t make your hair feel greasy .
  5. Sleep Well- when you’re getting ready for bed, always protect your hair from cotton pillowcases and sheets. These are going to dry out your hair because cotton is naturally made to keep our bodies or anything dry. Instead, make sure you’re wrapping your hair with a silk scarf or bonnet or you can also sleep with a silk pillowcase. Silk has been proven to keep the hair, soft and moisturize, and it will not strip the oils out of your hair. You can find all of the products that we recommend in the link below.
